Bake a Cake for Mother’s Day
Date: Saturday 21st March 2020 Time: 2.30pm – 4pm
Calling all dads! Forget the flowers from the garage, book your child a place on the ‘Bake a Cake for Mother’s Day’ cooking course!
See the delight in your child’s face as they get to make something really special that mum will remember and you’ll have wonderful memories baking together.
Mothers welcome too!
The Cooking School is proud to welcome guest teacher Stephen Benison. Stephen has a professional career as a chef, Patisserier, cake decoration and sugarcraft specialist, and teacher for over thirty years, training over 5,000 students! He will pass on his knowledge and be on hand to answer questions and ensure that everyone gets the absolute most from the experience.
This class includes:
- Welcome hot and cold drinks on arrival
- Baking a Victoria Sponge top
- Building the cake layers and spreading the centre
- Icing and decorating using sugar craft
- Recipe and method card to take home with you at the end of the session
- All ingredients, use of equipment and aprons
- Presentation box to take the cake home in
Children must be 8 years old and above. Please note children must be able to reach the worktop surfaces which are 900 mm high. Please arrive 10/15 minutes early to enjoy a welcome drink with fellow chefs. You are welcome to bring your own container for the cake to travel home in.
