Basic Knife Skills
Date: Friday 6th August 2021 Time: 10am – 12 Noon
Everyone needs knife skills, it’s fundamental to preparing and cooking food. It’s the first thing that chefs learn. It makes everything you do in the kitchen so much easier. We will guide you through how to sharpen, cut, chop, slice and turn using the appropriate knives. This course is essential for both beginners and the more experienced home cook wanting to hone their knife skills.
- Bone a chicken thigh
- Dice and slice a selection of vegetables
- Make a French style cassoulet
- Make a French Apple Tart
- Lunch or Dinner with wine and fellow chefs
- Bring a knife to sharpen
N.B. Please arrive 10/15 minutes early to enjoy a welcome drink with fellow chefs. Please bring containers to take home any leftovers.
