Intermediate Knife Skills

Whether you’re a budding chef to be, or an enthusiastic home cook, this course will teach you more advanced knife skills, helping you to produce the ever more delectable meal for family and friends alike. You will learn about different knives and their uses including a boning, chefs, filleting, paring and turning knife. Discuss the importance of sharpening each one slightly differently as well as how to take care of different knives dependent on their grade of steel. You will be guided through boning a chicken, filleting fish, learning delicate French cuts, turning vegetables and preparing fruit. Using these skills you will then create two delicious dishes worthy of many a restaurant.

N.B. Please arrive to all our courses 10/15 minutes early to enjoy a welcome drink with your fellow chef’s. Please bring your own containers to take home any leftovers.
