Soups, Stocks and sauces are two of the absolute cornerstones of a great home cook. We will guide you through the fundamentals and have you expertly making hearty soups and delicate sauces that are sure to impress your friends and loved ones.

At the end of the session you will sit down to a dinner of  Pea Veloute, and a Chicken, Orzo Unblended Soup with Chimichurri, and of course a glass of wine.

We will send you home with a recipe pack to start you off on the next stage of your culinary journey.

On the course you will learn how to make hot and cold sauces and include

  • Pea velouté
  • Base Chicken Stock, to make an unblended chicken soup with chimichurri
  • Bechamel – used in Rarebit and a multitude of other dishes
  • Dashi – A Japanese stock which is an umami laden broth ideal to add bonito, or is a fantastic base to make a ramen with.
