Stir Up Sunday 

With Christmas just around the corner, Stir-Up-Sunday marks the Victorian tradition of gathering the household together to make the family Christmas pudding.   When the pudding is made, everyone takes a turn to give the mixture a stir and make a wish.   Come along to The Cooking School and get into the Christmas spirit as we share a glass or two of mulled wine and make the most delicious rich, brandy-laced, fruit-packed pudding with a silver Sixpence buried deep inside.  You’ll take it home in a traditional ceramic pudding bowl, topped with a pretty gingham bowl cover.

We’ll also make Christmas mincemeat, the best ever mince pies and some beautiful mulled spice pouches that will flavour your Festive wine or cider in a perfect and practical way.

What to expect:

  • Small classes, socially distant and safe workspaces and PPE – in line with Government Covid 19 guidelines and legislation
  • Pastries and Coffee on Arrival
  • Make a family sized, rich fruit Christmas pudding to take home in a ceramic pudding basin with pretty gingham cover
  • Make Christmas mincemeat
  • Master the art of making a beautiful, buttery crisp pastry and transforming it into the best ever mince pies
  • Make hand-tied spiced mulled wine sachets

N.B. Please arrive to all our courses 10/15 minutes early to enjoy a welcome drink with your fellow chefs.
