Student Survival: The Essential Cooking Guide
Dates: 15th August, 2nd September 2019 Time: 10-4pm
During this full day course, we will provide you with all the knowledge and skills necessary for surviving your university kitchen. We want to show you how eating on a budget doesn’t mean compromising on quality ingredients and flavours, and that if you keep on top of your cooking, the rest will be easy!
The day will include:
- Basic knife skills
- Staying healthy on a budget
- Shopping economically
- Quick simple meals
- Using up leftovers
- Storage tips and tricks
You will end the class by enjoying the food you have made with your fellow students and walk away with a full recipe guide, weekly shopping list and meal planner.
This course is aimed at young people from 16 – 24 who want to learn some new skills to prepare themselves for the future. No previous experience is required.
