Hand Raised Pies and Tarts 

Whether it’s a beautiful golden hand-raised pie, chockful of pork and glistening with jellied stock,  a creamy chicken and leek pie nestled under a golden, flaky crust – or a shiny glazed pear frangipane, the perfect pie is a joy to behold and a delight to eat.

Come along to The Cooking School for a fun day course as we master the art of making a selection of classic pastries and favourite fillings.

What to expect:

  • Small classes, socially distant and safe workspaces and PPE – in line with Government Covid 19 guidelines and legislation
  • Drink on arrival
  • We will learn to make:
    • Suet pastry
    • Paté sucrée
    • Rough puff pastry
    • Hot water crust pastry
    • Steak and ale pie
    • Glazed pear frangipane tart
    • Chicken and leek pie
    • Traditional hand raised pork pie

N.B. Please arrive to all our courses 10/15 minutes early to enjoy a welcome drink with your fellow chefs.
