Time: Commencing at 10am on Saturday
Learn some basic skills to improve your cooking repertoire and give you the confidence to try new recipes.
Learn techniques and skills, including, baking, braising, sauteeing, and roasting, as well as the execution of simple sauces, desserts, meat, fish and vegetable preparation and cooking.
This weekend course will include coffee and pastries on arrival, lunch with wine and afternoon tea at the end of each day.
The class will be hands on cooking plus a few demonstrations, below are some of the foods you will learn to cook
- Basic Bread
- Creamed Soup
- Fish Goujons
- Winter braised chicken with orzo
- Beef Ragout
- Glazed Roasted Vegetables
- Spinach and Courgette Gratin
- Roasted Red Onion Tart with Goats Cheese and Dressed leaves
- Sauteed Kale
- Crepes with Orange and Crème Fraiche
- French Apple Tart with Clotted Cream
At the end of the course you will receive a Cooking School certificate, Folder with recipes to take home with you, and a Cooking School Apron.
Accomodation available at The Weymouth Arms, walking distance to the Cooking School,
Class will run from 10 – 5pm on Saturday and 9am – 4pm on Sunday
